Jobhunting

Bar-duty this week. Shifts from 6 p.m. to 'something' a.m. With probably dozens of thirsty salesmen around the bar screaming for drinks, since the company is paying for them. Fun.

The jobhunt is not going very well. This morning I thought I'd try my luck and phone the casino where I was last saturday. They're only looking for students as part-time croupiers. In other words: cheap labour. So I started surfing all the familiar websites again: monsterboard, stepstone and all their brothers and sisters. Seems like the latest craze is account managers and sales reps. People who can sell you your own mother is what's currently needed in a faltering economy. I'm too honest for that kind of work. I don't know what I want, and browsing through those websites doesn't do anything to help me. Three more weeks until my current job ends. I'll probably end up somewhere behind a bar in a pub again while searching for The Perfect Job. If only I knew what to do with my life.
