Bonsai!

OK, I bought a bonsai tree last week. I've managed to keep it alive so far, even though the leaves feel a bit dry (memo to self: check tree daily, not weekly). I know there are dozens of websites to help you take care of your bonsai, but I'd rather hear it firsthand from someone.

Help me! Better yet, help my bonsai! :)

We had one when I was still back in Mexico, but all we really did was clip its twigsies every now and then, and put it inside a bucket of water every so often (just a little bit of water, so that the clay pot would suck in some water, we heard we were not supposed to water the soil directly...)

Good luck with your wee ickle treesie! :)

Re:
You're not supposed to water the soil directly if the soil is covered by moss, otherwise it's fine to use either method (place it inside a bucket of water or just water the soil)

But you should get the special bonsai plant food and use it once a week.
Then it's up to you to either trim it or not.

Also, don't place it in direct sunlight :)
