Twitter down, LJ down, how was I supposed to let the world know that absolutely nothing interesting happened during the past two hours?!

Well, I did read about that thing with your flight to Namibia! You made me all uneasy so I just had to go to the KLM site to check the flight status for my trip in october. :P

Turns out there was a change indeed! But it's for the better; my trip back leaves like three hours later, so that gives me more time to spend with my family on the last day :)

Bwah. I didn't even notice because I was at work and they banned me from the internet with the threat of firing me otherwise.

Me being an internet addict, it's pretty tough, but so far I manage. But I feel the same way about checking my mail/Livejournal/Twitter throughout the day, that a smoker might feel about needing a cigarette. Like I suddenly really crave to just get online for just a bit! So that does make me an addict. XD But I don't care. I just don't see why companies consider the internet sooooo evil - research has shown that employees who're allowed a little break to go online or do something else (have a smoke, go for a walk, whatever chills them out) are then way more productive in the hours after the break.

Plus, I AM the internet.

The problem is where to draw the line, and what is considered a little break. We have 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon in which you are allowed to do as you please, but people who constantly browse the internet outside of their break tend to get on other colleague's nerves. Happens at my place too, and the more work there is to do, the more the annoyance increases, especially when you see that you've handled about 40 requests and the person in question about 16 or so.

But yeah, BANNING someone from the nets seems kinda extreme, I can't think of how boring it would be without the net during our quiet periods...
