Yesterday was exceptionally crazy, since I first had to drop off my car at the garage, then take the loanercar to work, work, leave right after lunch for knee checkup, get back to work, drive to garage again and then finally: home.
* KNEE: I have fluid in my knee. It will disappear by natural means eventually, but doc couldn't say how long that will take. Furthermore my muscles all seem to function more or less. The only movement that makes me howl in pain is bending my knee beyond the 90 degree point. Doc didn't see anything that required immediate action, so I'm just going to have to keep on walking bit by bit, eventually without a crutch to support me. Next check-up is in three weeks. If I still have pain at that point, they'll put the knee under an MRI scan.
* CAR: Yay. I finally have my car. It finally has the nav and entertainment setup. But it's STILL not 100 percent functional. As the mechanics were installing the system, they discovered that one cable was not part of the contents: the cable that enables you to control the system through the buttons on the steering wheel. Turns out it's an optional cable. And so I will have to visit the garage AGAIN coming thursday where they need an hour to put the final part in. The system itself works spiffy though. Upgraded the nav-software myself from v2.20 to v2.40, go me.
* WORK: Big evaluation coming up next wednesday, first the manager of the company where I'm on assignment is gonna rate me, then immediately after that my resource manager is having his say about me. And of course my input will be what I want to do the coming year. Mostly get more training and find a different assignment. The one I'm on is nice, and I could stay here for years, but it's not the direction I want to take.
Uhm, what else? Grandma and grandpa are rapidly declining. The family is now openly wondering if they'll still be around for Xmas.
Right. Back to work.
Oh, and clsa? You want this.
