"What's your name?"
"Whatcha gonna do, Rob?"
"Sing ridiculously high."
And then I sang "I believe in a thing called love" by The Darkness. And the crowd went wild. And the band went wild. Damn, I was on an adrenaline high. I even managed to squeeze out the two killer high notes (a.k.a. The Ballbreakers). When the song ended, the host hi-fived me ("Shit man, you raised the bar pretty f***ing high!"), the band hi-fived me, I was on f***ing cloud #9 (Might have something to do with various people smoking ... 'herbal' cigarettes nearby). The text-board-bunny put a glass of tequila in my hand, I downed it, I walked off stage and got pats on the back from everyone. I stayed a while longer, watched other people sing Sweet Child of Mine (crap), Girl Girl Girl (good), Born to be wild (funny), Whole lotta love (wicked!), but unfortunately I had to leave on time to catch the tram back to my parkingspot.
Damn, I'm such a slut for spotlights. A video was made with my cameraphone, but unfortunaly the audio is crappy. I'll try to upload to Youtube this weekend.
I think I've found a new monthly barnight ;)
