Right, what've I been up to these past few days?

Saturday: Get-together at jonesybunny with Dorito's, coke, Eddie Izzard, pasta a l'arrabiata, flash movies (I wanna take you to a GAYBAR!), Fluxxx, Munchkin, anime, Dr. Lucky, Macchiavelli and lots of laughter. Upon driving bander home, we discovered one of my headlights had died. We stopped at a gasstation/petrolstation along the highway for a new one, but as soon as we opened the hood, we saw that in order to switch the light, we had to take out the car's battery. Might be fun, but not at 2 a.m. So, I took the gamble, dropped Bander off at home and made it home myself without getting pulled over. At least I had the new light and the receipt as evidence. Oh, and the car's manual also recommended to take it to an official garage.

Sunday: A Barbecue! Only a few days earlier celtic_man introduced me to his friend Nadia, whom he met in York during Dutch classes. She's moved to the Netherlands, but hasn't been able to really make friends here, so Dave thought it wise to get her in contact with me. The fool >:p. So, I drove to her place to meet her, the guy she's currently living with, and two of his friends. The five of us managed to get the coals glowing (Ahhhh, the manly primeval instincts to get a fire started....) and a nice dinner was had. Just as the last pieces of meat were being torched, a big gray cloud rolled over us and almost surprised us with a BIG helping of rain, but we all managed to get inside, including Nadia's two guinea pigs (they both escaped from becoming satay >:P). The friends went home and with just three people left we watched Spidey 2 on downloaded DVD, after which it was time for me to get going. Another great afternoon gone by, even though not everyone could appreciate the exquisite taste of mead (I brought a bottle :).

Monday: Lazyness. I found a new MUD where I'm spending quite some time: Forgotten Kingdoms, roleplay in the world of Forgotten Realms (for those of you familiar with the Dungeons & Dragons setting and the R.A. Salvatore books). Laundry.

Tuesday: Laundry, cleaning bathroom and toilet (wheeeeeeeee!), more RP, call to Archeon themepark why I still haven't heard anything. Turns out that the General Manager is on holiday, but that I can expect a phonecall this monday or tuesday. At least they remembered my name (Hey, aren't you the one from that letter with the seal? :D).

Wednesday: Gonna send 999 games another mail, it's been 2 weeks since I sent in my open application. Listening to Spearhead now, good recommendation from Roomie Rick who went to North Sea Jazz festival for free, the lucky bastard. He saw Santana too. Sniff.

In good news: my unemployment benefit finally came in, so I've got some room to breathe again. IRS has approved that I pay my debt in 4 monthly installments. And just when I got that worked out, I get a letter from my old housing office in Maastricht that I owe them 350 Euros for gas, water and electricity over 2003. Will it never stop?....... Now I'm going to have to trace the two girls that lived in my apartment and try to get the cash from them. Why oh why can't I win a few grand in the lottery? I'm serious, 2000 would already be enough for me, give those millions to someone who needs them more than I.
