I love music, and i heard a friend play the song, but i can't remember the name of the song or the artist, and haven't seen her since, but in googling for it i found here so here goes ...
Theres a song sung in dutch, probably by a girl, which talks about a couple just running off one night, then spending the night in a hotel together.
it was played acoustically and sounds like it should have been played like that but i am not sure.
When she sang it she also translated some for us, but all i can remember of the translated lyrics is something like
"the sort of night that only happens in dreams" and "the light is coming through the curtains"
do you have any ideas ?

The song you're looking for is called "Het is een nacht" and sung by Guus Meeuwis. He wrote the song for his girlfriend as sort of a private thank you for the fact that she 'kidnapped' him and gave him the night of his life. Even though the song was very personal, he decided to play it one night in his favorite hang-out and before he knew it, it was recorded and went straight to 1 in the charts, staying there for weeks and weeks on end.
