Shit.

Shit. Plain and simple.

- Good friend of the family was buried this week. Our first neighbor in Eindhoven. 65-years-old, collapsed on holiday in Scotland.
- Mom had to go back to the hospital. Again. She's been on Prednison for years, and it was decided that it was doing her more bad than good. Which was true, she had a big list of side-effects, including a nearly shriveled Pancreas. Now her body is starting to protest as if it wants the Prednison again. This now manifests in her being hardly able to keep food inside and itchy urticaria (hives). The latter skincondition might also be affecting her internal skin, with degression into skincancer in the worst case scenario. She'll get results next monday from a shitload of tests she had to take this week.
- Meanwhile, I returned to the hospital for a knee check-up. The doc saw progress but had to agree that my walk was not exactly that of a normal 30 year old guy. And so I'm gonna be scheduled for an MRI-scan.
- As the cherry on the cake I came back into work to discover that the financial crisis has hit my current place-of-work as well. Me and four others will see their current assignment end by the end of the year. This does NOT mean that I'm out of a job, only out of an assignment. But since part of my salary depends on me working billable hours, I'll be paid less when not working for a client.

No more bad news the rest of this week please. Thanks.
